A state governor in Mexico has fired his top security officials after accusations that police killed two students during protests on Monday.
Guerrero state police cracked down on protesting students who called on the governor to appoint a new director for their teacher’s school. More than a dozen people were injured, and 24 protesters arrested.
As Al Jazeera’s Franc Contreras reports from Mexico City, for some, it is an ugly reminder of the notorious crackdown on student protesters in the 1960s.
