At least 33 people have been killed and 13 others injured in Brazil, after a tractor-trailer slammed into a bus carrying sugarcane cutters.
The accident happened early on Saturday morning near the town of Miracles in the northeastern state of Bahia.

A police spokesman said the driver of the truck, which was loaded with construction materials, lost control as he was rounding a corner and heading down a hill.
At least three people died when they were being transported to the hospital, while others are in critical condition. The driver of the truck was taken to hospital.
Ruvenal Farias, a federal highway patrol inspector, said the bus was not authorised to make the trip from the southwestern state of Mato Grosso do Sul to Pernambuco.
Another inspector said he had never seen an accident like it. Others are being treated in local hospitals.
