Floods worsen Thai prison conditions

Already notoriously bad, Thailand’s jails face overcrowding and pollution threats amid dangerous flooding.

Thailand’s floods crisis has affected a growing number of people. Residents of 12 districts out of 50 in Bangkok have been ordered to leave because of rising water levels.

But Thai prisons, notoriously bad already, have been flooded, creating a dangerous situation for prisoners.

Al Jazeera’s Wayne Hay reports from Bangkok.
