Libyans make first Hajj in post-Gaddafi era

The interim government is paying for the pilgrimage by those who lost family members in the uprising.

This year, in the first Hajj since the revolution, every pilgrim selected to make the journey by Libya’s interim government is someone who lost a family member in the battle against former leader Muammar Gaddafi.

The Transitional National Council is also funding the trip of those selected.

Mohamed Vall reports from Mecca.
