Neglected villagers in Mosha, in Assiut province, hope for genuine change under unfolding political landscape.

Vote counting is under way across Egypt in elections following the fall of the president, Hosni Mubarak.

Al Jazeera visited a remote village in the Assiut province to find out how people there feel about the country’s changing political landscape.

Neglected by the government for years, 60 per cent of this region lives in poverty and now they want this to change.

Al Jazeera’s Rawya Rageh reports from Mosha.
