Russian officials probe statue scandals
Investigation into how businessmen splashed out cash to try to immortalise themselves in Moscow park.

In Russia, illegal statues depicting rich businessmen are being knocked down in Moscow’s famous Muzeon park as part of a crackdown on corruption by local authorities.
Officials are now investigating how thousands of rubles exchanged hands as businessmen sought to indulge in their vanities and immortalise themselves like leaders of old.
Al Jazeera’s Robin Forestier-Walker reports from Moscow.
