Russian court pays two families $100,000 after discovering their daughters were swapped at birth.

Russian baby swap

Two Russian families have each been awarded $100,000 in compensation following the discovery that their babies were accidentally swapped at birth.

The girls, now aged 12, were identified following DNA tests after one of the fathers wrongly suspected his wife of being unfaithful.

A court in Russia’s southern Ural Mountains has ordered the maternity home where the swap took place to pay out the compensation.
