With less than a year until Mexico holds presidential elections, concerns are growing that violence related to the country’s drug war could discourage people from casting their votes.
There are similar fears in the western state of Michoacan, where an election will be held on Sunday to choose a new governor.
Security is a major concern for the residents of this state, where killings are on the rise.
