Tensions run high between Israel and Iran

Israel’s warnings of a possible attack on Iran has increased tension between the two countries, ahead of a UN atomic agency report on Tehran’s nuclear programme, due out this week.

Some experts say Israel will launch a strike if it is convinced that the West is not going to take stronger steps against nuclear Iran.

Tehran continues to insist its nuclear programme is only for peaceful purposes.
