Accusations are flying over the murder of an Italian priest in the Arakan Valley in the southern Philippines.
Father Fausto Tentorio, who had been a great advocate for disadvantaged people, was shot dead in his churchyard on Monday.
His colleagues say the military had long been watching him and believe the priest was the victim of an extrajudicial killing. The army has denied any involvement.
Al Jazeera’s Marga Ortigas reports from the Arakan Valley in North Cotabato.
