Typhoons wreak havoc in Philippines

Widespread flooding across Pacific nation results in millions of dollars’ worth of damage to livelihoods.

It has been more than two weeks since two typhoons swept across the Philippines leaving a trail of destruction.

Many areas in central Luzon region around the capital Manila remain flooded, and the unprecedented rain has resulted in millions of dollars’ worth of damage to livelihoods.

Authorities say it could take more than three months before the entire area is cleared of floods.
