South Africa’s ruling African National Congress has resumed the disciplinary hearing of its youth leader, but this time at a more private location to avoid a repeat of violent clashes between supporters and police.
Julius Malema has been accused of damaging the party’s image and is having his finances investigated for irregularities.
The trial and the surrounding furore appears indicative of cracks in the ruling party.
