Afghans claim civilians died in Laghman Province raid

On a road in Afghanistan’s northeastern Laghman province, residents fleeing the village of Masamud have told Al Jazeera that Nato forces killed 13 civilians and wounded eight others in a night-time raid on Sunday.

Nato has said that its forces killed 30 anti-government fighters and one civilian during the raid, which took place in the Alisheng district. President Hamid Karzai’s office is looking into the incident.
