S Korea extends military service
South Korea considers extending the compulsary military service up to two years.

Ties between North and South Korea have deteriorated since the sinking of the Cheonan warship in March.
Now, South Korea is considering extending its compulsory military service from 21 months to a full two years.
But that has reopened the debate on whether military service should be compulsory.
