Settlements overshadow US talks
As Netanyahu travels to Washington, a report highlights the extent of Israeli building.

Binyamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, is on his way to Washington for talks with Barack Obama, the US president.
Although the meeting is expected to focus on attempts to restart negotiations with the Palestinians, the issue of Israeli settlements in occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank continues to overshadow attempts at agreement.
A new reports by an Israeli human rights claims that much of the building is being carried out on land that the Israeli government knows belongs to Palestinians.
