US says it is not ‘cutting and running’ as some forces leave Baghdad three months early.

US troops have started to pull out of Iraq as part of the Obama administration’s promise to reduce US troop numbers in the country to 50,000 by the end of August.
The troops who left on Wednesday are the first group of US soldiers to leave the Iraqi capital and not be replaced.
The remaining forces are scheduled to depart by the end of 2011.
