22 May 2010: Air India Express Boeing 737-800 carrying 166 people crashes while landing at Mangalore’s Bajpe airport, killing 158 people. Eight people survive.
4 September 2009: One of the engines of AI-829 catches fire at Mumbai airport, causing 21 people injuries.
17 July 2000: Alliance Air flight CD-7412 crashes at Patna airport, killing 60 passengers.
12 November 1996: Saudi Arabian Airlines Flight collides midair with Kazakhstan Airlines flight 1907 near Charki Dadri in Haryana state, killing all 349 on board.
26 April 1993: IC-491 at Aurangabad airport in Maharashtra, killing 55 of 118 passengers and crew.
16 August 1991: IC-257 crashes at Imphal in the northeast, killing 69 people.
14 February 1990: AI flight IC-605 crashes in Bangalore, killing 92 of 146 passengers and crew.
19 October 1988: IC-113 flight crashes in Ahmedabad, killing 124 of 129 passengers.
21 June 1982: AI-403 flight crashes at Mumbai airport, killing 17 out of 111 passengers and crew.
1 January 1978: AI-XY5 flight crashes into Arabian Sea, killing 213 people.
