India’s human laundries at risk
The livelihoods of those employed to wash clothes are under threat from washing machines.

Dhobiwallas are India’s very efficient human laundries, their traditional job of washing clothes by hand is extremely hard work – but for many it is the only way to earn a living.
Now it is under threat – from a rising middle class who use more modern washing machines.
Al Jazeera’s Prerna Suri reports from Mumbai.
