Search on for Rio flood survivors

More than 140 people are killed and 200 others are trapped and missing from the heaviest rains in 50 years.

Rescue workers in Brazil are searching for more than 200 trapped and missing people after the city of Rio de Janeiro and its surroundings were hit by the heaviest rains seen in half a century.

More than 140 people have now been killed in landslides and flooding.

Al Jazeera’s Craig Mauro reports from Rio de Janeiro, where the search for missing people is still underway.
