Hamas sympathies prove costly
Sacked civil servants in Palestinian territory have trouble getting court redress.

Human-rights groups in the West Bank have accused the Palestinian Authority of dismissing hundreds of civil servants suspected of having links to Hamas, the Palestinian faction running the Gaza Strip.
The activists argue that the sackings are illegal and politically motivated.
However, as Al Jazeera’s Nour Odeh reports, efforts to challenge the dismissals in court have failed.
