Chile bids farewell to president
Outgoing Michelle Bachelet maintains her popularity despite quake response criticism.

Hundreds of Chileans have made their way to the country’s presidential office to say goodbye to one of the most popular heads of state in the world.
Despite widespread criticism over the government response to a devastating earthquake and tsunami, Michelle Bachelet is leaving office in a few days with an opinion poll rating of 84 per cent.
