For a literal example of lying low you might want to visit  Beijing where high rent prices have forced people to go underground.

Residents have been converting Cold War-era air raid shelters into cheap apartments.  

But as Al Jazeera’s Melissa Chan reports, landlords are now engaged in a fight with the government to keep their unusual properties.
