Jakartans bike to beat traffic
Indonesian capital’s residents resort to bikes to maneuver through city’s infamous traffic jams.

Starting on Saturday, residents of Jakarta, the Indonesian capital, who own more than one car will have to pay a new tax for each additional vehicle.
The aim is to boost the government’s coffers, and discourage commuters from using extra cars.
But with few other options available to them, increasing numbers of people are switching to motorbikes, to beat the Indonesian capital’s infamous traffic jams.
