Fishermen question Gulf seafood safety

Most of area hit by BP oil spill may be open for business, but locals say pollution remains.

The White House is planning to serve seafood from the Gulf of Mexico at Christmas events this year, in a move aimed at boosting consumer confidence in the wake of the devastating BP oil spill.

But some locals are questioning the safety of seafood from the area.

They insist the oil is still in the water. Al Walker, a fishing boat captain in Louisiana, tells Al Jazeera’s John Terrett why he has doubts over the testing.
