Egypt’s parliamentary elections will take place on Sunday, and its human rights centre says at least four people have already been killed, and dozens injured, in political violence.

The biggest opposition group, the Muslim Brotherhood, says the government is using security forces to attack its members.

Egypt’s government has rejected several calls to allow international monitors to observe this year’s elections, making it difficult to find out exactly who is behind the violence and how it will affect the outcome.
