US president decides to pardon a Thanksgiving turkey but faces a whole host of problems.

US residents are to mark the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday and Barack Obama, the president, has honoured the occasion by pardoning a turkey.
A rather important decision.
But Obama faces more difficult challenges. There are a host of issues, including funding for government, tax cuts, and an arms reduction treaty with Russia.
