Leaders review Nato strategy
Afghan president in Lisbon to discuss a timetable for the end of Nato combat operations in Afghanistan.

Hamid Karzai, the Afghan president, is meeting Nato leaders at a summit in Lisbon, Portugal, where the military alliance was expected to announce a timetable for the end of combat operations in Afghanistan.
Dmitry Medvedev, the Russian president, was to be another prominent participant in Saturday’s meeting. Nato has invited Russia to take part in a US-European missile defence shield, agreed upon by the leaders the previous day.
