US explores India trade potential
On his first visit, Obama faces challenges in boosting US business and defence profile in Asia’s third largest economy.

Barack Obama has arrived in India – Asia’s third largest economy – as part of a working tour of Asia beginning Saturday.
The US president faces the challenge of securing both business and defence ties, as India plans to spend billions of dollars to overhaul its military hardware.
Among other things, during his visit Obama hopes to sell the Indian air force a new fleet of US fighter jets worth almost $6bn.
