Moscow’s new mayor settles in
Sergei Sobyanin takes over from Yuri Luzhkov, who was fired for criticising Russia’s leadership.

Moscow has a new mayor, following last month’s dramatic sacking of the old one.
The Moscow parliament has appointed Sergei Sobyanin, a close aide of Vladimir Putin, the Russian prime minister, to the post.
He takes over from long-serving mayor Yuri Luzhkov, who was fired for criticising Russia’s leadership.
