N Korea stages anniversary parade
Powerful, dramatic scenes in Pyongyang as 65 years of communist rule is celebrated with a military parade.

There have been huge celebrations taking place in North Korea as it marks 65 years of communist rule.
The country’s military has been on display – as has its possible next ruler Kim Jong-un, the son of the current leader, Kim Jong-il. Kim Jong-un appeared alongside his father to watch Sunday’s parade in Pyongyang.
Al Jazeera’s Melissa Chan reports from the North Korean capital, where, in a rare decision, the international media has been granted access to the anniversary celebrations.
