Nato supply route remains closed

Pakistan refuses to open vital border crossing with Afghanistan in row over US helicopter raid.

Pakistan border crossing

Pakistan refuses to open a vital border crossing with Afghanistan for Nato supplies in apparent retaliation for a cross-border US helicopter raid that killed two Pakistani frontier soldiers.

The US apolgised for the Pakistani deaths, however, the Torkham border crossing remains closed for lorries carrying goods for the international forces in Afghanistan.

The closing of the crossing has left dozens of lorries stranded, making them vulnerable for attacks as Al Jazeera’s Kamal Hyder reports from Peshawar.
