A state of emergency has been declared after the chemical waste burst from a reservoir.

The Hungarian government has declared a state of emergency after a chemical waste burst from a reservoir at an alumina plant.

The government labelled the disaster a “catastrophe” after three western counties were damaged by poisonous flood from a reservoir at an aluminum plant that broke its walls on Monday.
