Nepal child soldiers to leave camps
Thousands who fought for Maoists to enter civilian life after decade-long conflict.

As teenagers, they were recruited to fight in a civil war, often against their will.
Now, thousands of former child soldiers in Nepal will be discharged from UN-monitored detention camps.
The initial release is the first which will ultimately see thousands of former Maoist fighters reintegrate into civil society – marking a crucial chapter in the country’s peace process.
