Slovak police send ‘bomb’ to Dublin
Consignment of plastic explosives is smuggled into Ireland in botched security test.

The world may be on high alert for airline attacks, but that didn’t stop a consignment of plastic explosives being smuggled into Ireland … by accident.
As part of a training exercise, Slovakian police hid explosives in unsuspecting travellers’ luggage at the country’s main airport.
They found most of it, but a batch of explosives still managed to end up on a Dublin-bound Danube Wings plane, leading to a police raid and the temporary arrest of an unwitting smuggler.
