Video: Abbas faces talks dilemma
Trilateral talks blunted by impasse over Israeli settlements in occupied West Bank.

Barack Obama, the US president, has made efforts to get the Middle East peace process back on track, hosting talks between Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, and Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president.
Netanyahu has rejected a complete, fixed-period freeze in construction of illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank, and Abbas has said talks are redundant while Israel continues its settlement activity.
