Video: Afghans mourn lost reporter

Journalists say they hold British forces responsible for Sultan Munadi’s death.

Sultan Munadi, an Afghan journalist, was killed when British special forces tried to free him and his British colleague from Taliban captivity.

In a ceremony held at his graveside, the Afghan Press Club said they held British forces responsible for his death “because they resorted in military action before exhausting other non-violent means”.

Al Jazeera’s James Bays reports from the gathering in the capital, Kabul, where journalists demand action from all parties in war-torn Afghanistan.

They urge both the Taliban and those fighting them to ensure journalists’ safety and to respect their neutrality.
