A group of 20 young Uighurs are using football to bring their community together.
Their roots are in China, but they live in Washington DC.
Following recent unrest in their homeland, a group of 20 young Uighurs are using football to bring their community together. They call themselves “Uighur United”.
Al Jazeera caught up with the team captain and co-founder, Arafat Dilshat.
Arafat is a student at a local college who came to the US from China when he was 10-years old.
