However, a Thai official denied that troops had entered Cambodian territory.
Colonel Pichit Nakarun, who is stationed at the border, said there had been no troop movements near the disputed 11th century temple.
Troops from both countries have been stationed at the border since last July, when fighting erupted.
The clashes briefly sparked concerns of a wider war between the two countries.
