El Salvador pulls out from Iraq
The Salvadoran contingent was stationed in Al Kut and was attached to Polish soldiers.

The small Central American country, with a population of about six million, was the only Latin American country with troops in Iraq after the Dominican Republic and Honduras pulled their troops out in 2004, following Spain’s lead.
Tony Saca, the country’s president, had said El Salvador’s troops would leave after the December 31 expiration of a UN resolution authorising the international coalition in Iraq.
