Hundreds of people have gathered in New York City to protest against a plan devised by the US administration of Barack Obama to try five Guantanamo detainees in civilian court.
Those due to go on trial include Khaled Sheikh Mohammed, the self-professed mastermind of September 11 attacks.
The decision has divided families of the victims. While some say it is right that the trial be held in a civilian court, others believe the men should be tried as war criminals.
