Nepal voices climate change fears
Melting glaciers caused by rising temperatures are already causing misery for many.

Like many countries, Nepal has voiced concern over the possible effects of climate change.
Rapidly rising temperatures have reduced snowfall in the Himalayas and are causing glaciers to melt, risking flooding among mountain communities and drought in lowland areas.
Al Jazeera’s Tony Birtley reports from Nepal’s Banke district where environmental changes could have a disastrous effect.
