China’s green technology

As world leaders begin to gather for the closing stages of the climate change conference in Copenhagen, China has promised to reduce carbon emissions per unit of GDP.

But Beijing says that is not all it is doing to stop global warming.

In the country’s southeast it is focusing on research and the development of green technology to tackle the pollution that has accompanied China’s industrialisation and urbanisation.
