Kosovo independence case opens
International Court of Justice to consider legality of territory’s break from Serbia.

Sixty-three states have recognised Kosovo since it declared its independence from Serbia last year.
Belgrade, which says Kosovo is an integral part of its territory and has no right to break away, has challenged the legality of the move and the case is being heard at the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
