About 20,000 Maoist fighters remain in containment camps in Nepal, waiting to be rehabilitated into society or allowed to join the Nepalese army.

As part of a peace deal with the government after years of rebellion, the Maoist fighters were to be integrated into the Nepal army and security services.

But three years on, this hasn’t happened … something they see as a broken promise.
