‘Coma’ victim found to be conscious
Car-crash victim found mentally awake though presumed to be in coma for 23 years.

Rom Houben was imprisoned in his own body for 23 years, unable to communicate.
Doctors thought the Belgian car-crash victim was brain dead – in a vegetative state, when he was actually conscious the whole time.
