Video: South India deluged by flood
Up to 800,000 are homeless as southern India reels under century’s worst floods.

Devastating floods, said to be the worst in over a century, are sweeping across southern India.
In Karnataka, the death toll has topped 170 while in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, more than 50 people have died. The floods have also affected the western state of Maharashtra.
More than 800,000 people have been made homeless as overflowing rivers break banks and inundate large areas that were suffering a severe drought till a few weeks ago.
