Published On 5 Oct 2009
Hundreds of Indonesians have been waiting for earthquake survivors at Padang’s main hospital, but ambulances are bringing back an increasing number of dead bodies.
With the collapse of many of the hospital’s buildings, victims of the quake, together with patients already in the hospital, have been moved to makeshift wards in the hospital car park.
Al Jazeera’s Wayne Hay reports from Padang, where those lucky to be alive have been suffering physically and mentally.
