Sri Lanka opens facilities to rehabilitate the island-nation’s former child soldiers.

Following the defeat of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in May 2009, a government rehabilitation programme is under way in Sri Lanka to help those who became child soldiers during the war and just months ago were fighting against government troops.
