Protesters clashed with police on Friday outside the BBC’s Television Centre in London.
The demonstrators were outraged that Nick Griffin, the leader of the far-right British National Party, would be taking part in a political discussion programme.
Opponents say extremists views should not be allowed on the public television, but the BBC says it has a duty to defend freedom of speech.
