Lockerbie bomber’s prognosis probed

Scotland denies Lockerbie bomber release was based on Libyan funded doctors’ advice.

Libya has been accused of paying doctors to provide a prognosis for Abdelbasset Al-Megrahi, the Lockerbie bomber, to secure his release.

Al-Megrahi was freed from a Scottish jail last month, after being told he had just three months to live.

Scotland has denied its decision was based on evidence from doctors who had been paid by Libya.

Al Jazeera’s Jonah Hull reports.
